I've always wanted to host a "SINATRA" Party! I love all of his music and the "Rat Pack" era of Vegas! Several years ago I was in Las Vegas. I was staying at the Wynn but had dinner reservations at the Encore at "Sinatra." As you enter the restaurant, you are taken back in time. Sinatra's Oscar is on display and the bar has a "cool" feel. The restaurant is decorated in orange and white.The tables are draped with crisp white tablecloths and lime green cymbidium orchids are in small vases in the center. Orange was Sinatra's favorite color. The drinks and the menu selections were all of his favorites and some were his family recipes. Sinatra at the Encore is one of my favorite places to eat. I just love the atmosphere and the vibe. And of course Sinatra's music plays all the time. Back to my party, like I mentioned earlier, I've always thought a Sinatra themed party would be so much fun. When Shelby and Jake got engaged I decided that their Couples Wedding Shower would be a wonderful time to use the "SINATRA" theme. Throw in a Craps Table, Dealers, and the Rat Pack and you have a PARTY! I decorated with orange and white theme throughout the whole space. Each table was draped with floor length tablecloths with orange satin toppers. Shiny gold fabric and gold and green sequin table runners were used to decorate the gift display table and other areas. The floral used were orange and white gladiolas, orange roses, palm leaves and I scattered live palms in pots throughout the space. I also displayed "vintage" Vegas posters I purchased on Etsy and Ebay. I attached them to foam board and displayed them on easel stands. I also switched out all of the outside floodlights and ceiling bulbs to orange bulbs and hung bistro lights on the eave of the house and above the bar. I floated color changing orbs in the pool and hot tub. I ordered custom poker chips in orange with the couples monogram in the center. The invitation to the party featured an image of the poker chip and the phrase, "Shelby & Jake - Lucky In Love." I couldn't find a Craps table to rent so with the help of my son-in-law, we built the table ourselves. I ordered the felt, the bumpers and the equipment to run the table from Amazon and I ordered 1,000 chips for the house to use. The guest at the end of the night that won the most chips won a $100.00 gift card! Frank Sinatra and Rat Pack music flowed from the speakers inside and out. Champagne, beer and wine flowed in crystal glasses. The guests dressed in cocktail attire were served a fabulous cocktail buffet on crystal plates. In front of my home guests were greeted with a lit "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign displayed next to a twinkle light wrapped tree. Everyone had a "fabulous" time spending the evening in Las Vegas with Frank Sinatra!
