BEN'S PROPOSAL TO ALLISON!

Our family and Ben's family had so much fun decorating our lake home for Ben's proposal to Allison, my oldest daughter. Ben and Allison's sisters planned for a month before he popped the question. Ben made dinner reservations in Llano at the Badu House. When they left we had two hours to get everything ready! The sidewalk was lined with ninety candles in different sizes. Between the candles the sidewalk was covered with rose petals from five dozen roses in red and pink. The tops of the doors and the porch lights were drapes with rose garlands and boxwood wreaths were hung on each door and two large white lanterns were placed at the end of the walkway near the front doors. Inside, the house was filled with vases of flowers. The dining room table was draped with a floor length white tablecloth and the topped with an antique lace tablecloth and a rose gold sequin topper. I ordered pink champagne cupcakes topped with strawberries from SoulfullyYours in Indiana and I displayed them on brushed gold tiered serving pieces. Also on the table were framed photos of Allison and Ben through the years. I placed my crystal ice bucket in the center of the table filled with ice and rose' champagne and their Waterford Toasting glasses were placed next to the bucket. Small round vases filled with roses were placed on the mantle. The champagne flutes for the guests were placed on my sideboard along with extra bottles of champagne. The flutes were a mixture of Waterford and Tiffany crystal and placed on gold trays. The evening was filled with love, fun, and Champagne! To top off the night, renowned New York Photographer, PhillipVN just happened to be staying next door and he captured the proposal beautifully!
